Overview

AI Twitter Filter is a free, open-source Chrome extension that filters tweets on X/Twitter using AI. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This extension collects no personal data and has no server infrastructure.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension runs entirely in your browser.

Data Storage

The following data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

• Your API provider preference (OpenAI or OpenRouter)
• Your API key
• Your selected AI model
• Your filter criteria and saved filter presets
• Whether filtering is enabled or disabled

This data never leaves your browser except as described below under "Data Sharing."

Data Sharing

When filtering is enabled, the text content of tweets visible on your X/Twitter feed is sent to the AI provider you have chosen (OpenAI or OpenRouter) for evaluation against your filter criteria. This is the core functionality of the extension and only occurs with a provider and API key you have configured yourself.

No data is sent to the extension developer or any other third party.

Your use of a third-party AI provider (OpenAI, OpenRouter, etc.) is subject to that provider's own privacy policy and terms of service.
